How to Install A Kitchen Light FixtureWhether you’re replacing or installing a light fixture for the first time in a kitchen, follow these steps to make sure everything goes right
1. Find the breakerFind the breaker to the wiring you’ll be using for the new fixture and turn it off. Put a piece of tape over it to make sure no one turns it on without your knowledge. 
2. Secure the fixture supportSecure the fixture support bracket or base to the wall or ceiling where it will be located in the kitchen. 
3. Follow the diagramFollow the wire connection diagram that came with the light fixture. Same colored wires go together with ground wires also connected. Secure with wire nuts. 
4. Follow the instructionsFollow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to connect your fixture to its base. Make sure everything is tight. 
5. Install the bulbInstall the correct light bulb and secure 
6. Flip the breakerTurn the breaker back on and see your kitchen shine. |
