I like the design of the fastlock connectors compared to the original Malibu design (which often requires using pliers to make the connection). I have observed that the fastlock connector turns easily when not around a wire, but around 12 gauge low voltage wire, the connector get progressively harder to turn until it takes a lot of effort to make the final connection.
