These are not the highest quality units-- but the price should tell you that and especially compared to the ones sold in big box stores. The trim ring is plastic and is has some yellowing on the back side. I hope that does not appear on the front over time. They take a bit of patience to install because the clips on the shield barely hold onto the plastic trim ring. The diffuser baffle is metal and is painted flat black but it does reflect more than units with sharp ridges-- I would describe these as wavy ridges.
The packaging was top-notch for both the product and the shipping box. Plenty of bubble wrap was used and the box did get a good squishing in transport so kudos to the Shipping Department for doing the right thing!
In the end these fit my intended application perfectly and I saved hundreds of dollars compared to other retail options. So if you don't need the absolute best wall wash units these could be what you are looking for.
