20watt max to, 12Volt MR-16, Non-IC: 50watt max, 12Volt MR-16. Do not use a dimmer on this fixture until you contact us first for details. Fixture ships with a 35watt bulb good for most applications.

This note pertains to fixtures utilizing a magnetic style 120/12volt transformer and an energy efficient MR-16 halogen bulb. The MR-16 bulb is rated at 12volts and is available in a number of wattages, beam spreads, color temperatures. It is the most versatile bulb/fixture combination available today.

A magnetic ballast and MR-16 lamp may be operated with a standard wall switch or with a dimmer. When using a dimmer it is very important to use a dimmer that is compatible with a magnetic ballast. Dimmers available at retail outlets and wholesale supply stores are designed for specific applications. Product failure and fire may result from using the incorrect dimmer. We do not sell dimmers.

It is also important to note that some magnetic dimmers require a bigger junction box than a standard wall switch. Make sure to plan accordingly and avoid problems or hazards.

Do not use dimmers designed for incandescent lamps or electronic ballasts when dimming a magnetic ballast. Violent failures may occur.
